Ruppert will do a general maintenance pruning of all shrubs in the front and side of homes (up to the AC units) throughout the community beginning the week of July 6, 2020 — WEATHER PERMITTING.
PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT THE RUPPERT WORKERS WITH ANY REQUESTS OR ISSUES. CONTACT HOPE WEBER OR PEGGY AKERS WITH YOUR COMMENTS.
Tag with colored tape any shrub(s) you do not want pruned. Colored tape will be placed on the bench in each close in a plastic bag. When you have used the tape, return it in the plastic bag to the bench for your neighbors to use. The tapes will be collected after pruning is completed.
Within 2 weeks following the pruning, please remove any tape that you have put on the shrubs.
We have identified that the Elaeagnus (common name, Silverberry) shrub throughout the community has a fungus. After consultation with Ruppert, the Landscape Committee has engaged Ruppert for a special rejuvenation project to significantly prune the Elaeagnus and then apply an appropriate treatment to hopefully eliminate the fungus. All of the Elaeagnus along the sides and rears of homes on Woodbury and for several homes that face Weathersfield will be addressed as well as other areas of the community that has this shrub. This rejuvenation is only for ELAEAGNUS, not other shrubbery. IT WILL BE A SEPARATE PRUNING PROJECT – THE DATE HAS NOT YET BEEN ESTABLISHED BUT HOMEOWNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE DATE IS ESTABLISHED.
Thank you – The Landscape Committee
