Due to the recent snow storm, Ruppert crews have had to reschedule certain projects. The crew was on site December 13 to prune. Due to snow remaining on the bushes and on the ground, the smaller pruning debris will be removed on December 20 when the crew does its normal site visit. Larger pruning debris was collected the day of the pruning.
Storm debris clean-up: This is a separate project as defined in the Ruppert contract. Hope Weber, Chair of the Grounds Maintenance Committee, has approved a certain amount of money to begin the storm clean-up. The crew will be on site on December 19 to start the clean-up. If more funds are needed, the Ruppert supervisor will send a proposal and the work will be done in early 2019. Ruppert employees are off work the last week of December.
Christmas tree pick up by Ruppert will occur on the crew’s first visit after January 1 and two weeks later. Please put the trees by the street signs at the end of your close.
During the winter Ruppert crews will pick up small, bundled sticks at the end of the closes if they are tied or placed in landscape bags, not garbage bags. The crews will be on site every 10-14 days during winter months.
