The WSG Board of Directors is planning for this year’s in-person Annual Meeting which will be held on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at 2:30 PM at the Gathering Place. As many of you have been aware during the latter part of June, Ruppert Landscape has been pruning hedges around the parking areas as well as other bushes/shrubs in Common Areas. This was done due to the post-Rejuvenation growth that needed to be trimmed and the hedges reshaped.
The annual pruning, which will take place in the early fall 2021, will include:
As before, the Landscape Committee will distribute colored marking tape in each Close so that residents can mark bushes/shrubs that they do not wish to have trimmed/pruned. A resident may request that specific pruning be done. But not beyond the HVAC system or behind their personal property.
Residents will be notified via the WSG website on the actual dates for the annual pruning this coming fall.

Snakes, including copperheads, are a fact of life in Fearrington Village. They are best left alone, undisturbed. Snake bites almost always occur when the snake is inadvertently disturbed, so your best bet is to try to avoid them altogether. How? Click on the link below to find out more!
The following closes are planned for complete parking area repavement during September (Actual dates TBD): 520-523, 524-529, 546-551 and 582-593. Repairs at the entrance areas of 558-569 and 570-581 and a section of curb & gutter replacement at 552-557 are also planned. There will be dust, debris and noise associated with this work. No vehicle parking or access will be allowed in or out of the areas of work for several days. Further coordination and specific instructions will be provided ahead of the actual project dates.

After many concerns were expressed by residents, the re-paving of the Gathering Place Parking Lot has been modified. Please click on the following link for the specifics.
Re-Paving of Parking Lot Scheduled by Fearrington Homeowners’ Association
CAUTION: Beginning Monday May 24, Blalock Paving Company will be re-paving the parking lot surrounding the Gathering Place. This will impact all the buildings that use this parking area, i.e., the Gathering Place, Fearrington Cares, the Mail Kiosk, and the Fearrington Swim and Croquet Club.
Paving may be completed in 3 days, but inclement weather and other disruptions may mean that interference with normal operations lasts longer.
Vehicle access to the Gathering Place, Fearrington Cares, and the Swim and Croquet Club will not be possible at these times. Access on foot may be possible, but visitors should be aware that a building may be totally inaccessible at some times. Parking along Weathersfield and Swim and Croquet may be possible, but these streets too may be disrupted by construction equipment. It is best to avoid the area if you can.
If you need to visit any of these locations, it is wise to contact the location first for up-to-date information about access.
Access to the Mail Kiosk will be similarly disrupted. Mail delivery may be impossible some days, but we are consulting with the Post Office about maintaining it as much as possible.
We apologize for the disruption and the inconvenience, but it has been several years since the parking area was last paved, and the surface is in serious need of improvement. We ask for your understanding and cooperation while the construction is in progress.
