Lawn Care Work Soon

Notice Regarding Upcoming Mulching Project

Mulching will occur beginning on Monday, February 3, 2020.  In preparation for the project, Ruppert will be on site on Thursday/Friday, January 30/31, 2020, to edge the front of our homes and the common areas.  Ruppert understands that this project must be completed as expediently as possible.  We request that homeowners do not stop the Ruppert team with any requests or concerns.  If you have any concerns, please contact Hope Weber, Landscape Chair.  Thank you.

Weathersfield 2020 Monthly Assessments

As approved by vote of the homeowners at the Annual General Meeting in November, Weathersfield Service Group monthly assessments have increased to $310 beginning in January 2020.  As a reminder, monthly assessments are due the first day of each month.  The HOA does not send monthly statements unless an account is 30 days past due and assessed a $20 late fee.  Please see the collection policy for further information.

As stated in a letter sent to all homeowners in December, Mill House Properties is transitioning to a new online system (AppFolio) in late January.  It will offer a convenient way for homeowners to set up an online account to see their account history and balances, pay monthly assessments online (fee for credit cards), in addition to other benefits. Homeowners who have completed and returned the contact information form included in the December letter will receive an email invitation from AppFolio when the system is “live.”  A copy of the contact information form can be found here.

If you are currently enrolled in monthly auto draft, this will continue until Mill House Properties has completed transitioning to AppFolio.  You will be notified if any changes to this process occur with the new system.  The monthly draft normally takes place on approximately the 5th business day; however, the draft will be delayed this January while Mill House Properties transitions to the new system.

Minor Correction Needed to 2020 FHA Directory

The beautiful new Fearrington Homeowners Association Directory recently delivered to our front porches contains one minor error. The Directory lists an inaccurate address for our new management company, Mill House Properties.  The correct address is 1720 E. Franklin Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27312.  Please adjust your records accordingly.

Weathersfield Holiday Party Reminder

The Weathersfield Holiday Party is approaching quickly, Saturday December 7, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy an evening with your neighbors, good food, door prizes and a festive holiday atmosphere.

Remember to drop off your RSVP with payment to Bill Kearney at 546 or place it in the Weathersfield Board Box at the mail kiosk by November 15.  Seating is limited and a firm count needs to be provided to our caterer.

AGM Meeting Packets Have Been Mailed

The Annual General Membership (AGM) Meeting will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Gathering Place.  In order to be sure there is a quorum to conduct the important business of our community, all homeowners should attend in person or complete a proxy document if they are unable to attend.  A downloadable proxy form is here:  WSG Proxy 2019.

All homeowners have been mailed a meeting packet to review before the meeting.  A copy of that packet can be found here: 2019 AGM Packet (Updated).

Pruning and Lawn Mowing Information

PRUNING–Ruppert will prune shrubs in the front and side of homes (up to the AC units) and the common areas in each close throughout the community beginning on Monday, September 16 – WEATHER PERMITTING.  They will start with the Eleagnus throughout the community and then focus their pruning on the remaining common area plants and the front and side of homes.

PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT THE RUPPERT WORKERS WITH ANY REQUESTS OR ISSUES.  CONTACT HOPE WEBER OR PEGGY AKERS WITH YOUR COMMENTS.

Tag with colored tape any shrub(s) you do not want pruned.  Colored tape will be placed on the bench in each close in a plastic bag.  When you have used the tape, return it in the plastic bag to the bench for your neighbors to use.  The tapes will be collected after pruning is completed. Within 2 weeks following the pruning, please remove any tape that you have put on the shrubs.

LAWN MOWING–Ruppert aerated and overseeded the lawns on Monday, 09/09/19. They have advised us that they will not mow for the next several weeks in order to allow the lawn seeds to take hold. Please understand the grass may be longer than we are used to but there is a valid reason for it.
