The Weathersfield Service Group and the FHA do not provide, designate, or maintain any cut-through paths behind any Weathersfield homes other than roadways and FHA designated pathways. WSG is only bordered by FHA paths paralleling Village Way and Swim & Croquet. Our community places high priority on respecting the rights of all residents to peace, privacy, and security. If you are headed to (or from) the Smokehouse Mail Kiosk, and Weathersfield is in your plans, we encourage you to stay close to the paths on Village Way which have been specifically designated as an official trail by the FHA. That way you both avoid the natural hazards and respect the privacy of residents whose homes sit at the very edge of this section of our neighborhood.
Thank you so much for your help in alerting other walkers to this situation.
The Spring Fling will be held at the Grove on Friday, May 10th from 5-7 p.m. If it rains, we will move to the Gathering Place on the same date and at the same time. The cost per person is $3.00. Please bring an appetizer to share as well as your own chair to sit on. Beer, wine and soda will be provided.
Residents will be getting a hand-delivered invitation around April 18th. We would like to have responses from everyone no later than Friday, May 3rd. We will accept cash only. Please put your R.S.V.P. slip and money in the Weathersfield mailbox at the Swim & Croquet mail kiosk. The Weathersfield mailbox is on the east end of the kiosk (nearest Swim & Croquet) with the other Fearrington organization mailboxes.

Current forecasts are for a wintery mix of rain, snow and ice coming overnight (Saturday, December 8) and into Sunday and Monday for our area. Chatham County provides current weather information news and updates. They also give links to sites which provide advice for getting ready for a storm and what to do during one. Keep checking the Chatham County website at: https://www.chathamnc.org/about-us/news-updates
Because of the efforts of several of our fellow Weathersfield residents, we have expanded the previous “Beginnings of Weathersfield” to a more complete and even more interesting “History of Weathersfield.” What’s more, lots of historical photos now illustrate the story. Check it out: The History of Weathersfield.
You can participate in further expanding our historical documentation. Send you stories, ideas, and especially photos to the Weathersfield webmaster at weathersfieldsg@gmail.com.
