WSG IV Notification – Rejuvenation Postponed

On behalf of the WSG Board and the Landscaping Committee, this is to wish everyone a happy, festive, and safe holiday season.  You will be pleased to know that it has been agreed to postpone the Rejuvenation process until January 2021.

The rejuvenation process which Ruppert Landscaping will do, while expensive, is a one-off process, which will start on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 and, weather permitting, will take four days to complete.  We would appreciate it if you could have all decorations and lights removed from bushes, shrubs, and railings by January 2 at the latest.

Rejuvenation pruning will give shrubs, bushes, and trees the opportunity to thrive by appropriately trimming and cutting away the excess growth and removal of dead or dying sections. Rejuvenation allows our plants to renew themselves and flourish in a natural way.

Rejuvenation is not being undertaken merely for aesthetic purposes.  The purpose is to care for our properties, maintain their values and enhance the beauty of our neighborhood and green common spaces we all love and enjoy.

Happy Holidays!

Work Resumes on Weathersfield Sewer Lines

Pure-Line Plumbing will be on site October 15th to complete our sewer maintenance program. This maintenance initiative has been ongoing for four years. Pure-Line will video inspect the lines from the resident’s outside clean out through the commons area to the main line in 594, 595 and 596. They will be looking for grease buildup, fractures and root balls. Pressurized water will be used to clear these obstructions where necessary. This process will take approximately 2 days and should not result in an interruption of service. It will not be necessary for their employees to enter a resident’s home.

Pressure Washing Begins June 15

Pressure washing Weathersfield homes, garages, front brick stoops and wooden railings will occur June 15 – 25, 2020.  Southern Outdoor Restoration (SOR) is the company hired to do the work.  Between June 4 and 5 the company will leave a flyer explaining the process on each front porch.  A copy of the flyer can be viewed here.
The flyer reminds residents to remove all moveable or breakable items off front porches, exterior walls and outdoor living spaces.  If you have any questions about the process after reading the flyer, please go to SOR’s Weathersfield page on their website, www.southernor.com/WSG, to learn more, especially if you have surveillance cameras, electronic doorbells or similar equipment. You will also find on the website a map of Weathersfield showing the day SOR plans to pressure wash your home and garage.  Dates are subject to the weather, of course.
